The World Harmony Run Reaches Edinburgh

The World Harmony run will reach Edinburgh today. The run which has been in existence for 25 years will be staged from Bathgate to Edinburgh. The aim of the event is to raise awareness and create a more harmonious world. The run is the largest grassroots effort for peace in the world! It was started in 1987 by Sri Chinmoy and has seen a torch travel over 35,000 miles in 100 countries over 6 continents ever since. The torch is carried by volunteers who run through countries throughout the world. No money is raised or any political message promoted but the idea is that the run will bring people all over the world together to celebrate peace. Today, the torch will be carried from Bathgate to Edinburgh culminating in Melville Street in the West Endof the city this afternoon, close to the IFSA-Butler Office!
