Scotland Gears Up for Its Referendum

As Scotland gears up for its referendum on independence in 2014, the wording of the question to be asked has been called into question. The Scottish Affairs Committee at Westminster have criticised the Scottish government’s proposed question. MP’s have deemed that the wording is too ‘biased’. The Scottish government wants the question to read, “Do you agree that Scotland should become an independent country?” The Scottish Affairs Committee feels that this question automatically leads people to voting yes and that it should be rephrased. As tensions rise, it’s an exciting time to be in Scotland!
